Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Circles. By creating an account or using the Service, You agree to be bound by these Terms. If You do not agree, You may not use the Service.

1. Who Can Use Circles

You must be at least 16 years old to use Circles. By using the Service, You confirm that You meet this age requirement. If We become aware that a user is under 16, We will delete their account without notice.

You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify Us immediately if You become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently delete accounts that violate these Terms, at Our sole discretion and without prior notice.

3. What You Can and Cannot Post

Circles is a platform for connecting with friends and people you know. You agree not to post, share, or transmit any content that:

• Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or invasive of another person's privacy
• Contains hate speech or discriminates based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality
• Is sexually explicit or pornographic
• Depicts or promotes violence, self-harm, or dangerous activities
• Infringes the intellectual property rights of others
• Contains spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or deceptive content
• Impersonates another person or entity
• Contains viruses, malware, or any other harmful code
• Violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content You post on Circles (photos, text, stories, etc.). By posting content, You grant Circles a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and display that content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

You are solely responsible for the content You post. We do not review content before it is posted and We are not responsible for content posted by users.

5. Privacy

Your use of Circles is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, You consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Circles Groups and Events

Circles allows You to create and join groups ("Circles") and events. As a creator of a Circle or event, You are responsible for the content shared within it and for ensuring that members abide by these Terms. We reserve the right to remove any Circle or event that violates these Terms.

7. Direct Messages

Direct messages are private communications between users. You agree not to use the messaging feature to send spam, harassment, or any content prohibited under Section 3. We do not routinely monitor private messages but reserve the right to do so if required by law or to investigate reports of abuse.

8. Intellectual Property

The Circles name, logo, and all related software are the intellectual property of Circles. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on Our Service without Our express written permission.

9. Third-Party Services

Circles uses third-party services including Google Firebase for data storage and authentication. Your use of the Service is also subject to the terms and privacy policies of these third-party providers. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We are not responsible for any loss of data or content.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Circles shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or in connection with Your use of or inability to use the Service.

12. Termination

You may stop using Circles and delete your account at any time from within the app or by contacting Us.

We may suspend or terminate Your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, including if We reasonably believe You have violated these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Denmark, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Denmark.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify You of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes Your acceptance of the revised Terms.
